Pathway to Medical School
Pre-Medical
S&T students have a strong track record of success when applying to MD (Doctor of Medicine) and DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) programs. Both MD and DO students complete the same medical board exams and participate in the same residency match program, ensuring comparable training and career opportunities.
Engineering in Medicine
Physician Engineers Pre-Admission Program
The program encourages and supports students with an undergraduate major in the College of Engineering at University of Missouri-Columbia or the College of Engineering and Computing at the Missouri University of Science and Technology as they pursue a degree in medicine.
Future PA Professionals
Physician Assistant
Missouri S&T students are increasingly pursuing careers in medicine as Physician Assistants (PAs). Our graduates have been accepted into competitive PA master’s degree programs at institutions such as Saint Louis University, UMKC, Drury University, and Stephens College, reflecting the strength of their preparation and academic foundation.
Pharmacist Track
Pre-Pharmacy Program
Students interested in earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Missouri S&T while pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis (UHSP) may want to explore our accelerated “3+4” program. This option allows students to complete a carefully designed curriculum that fulfills all prerequisites for the Pharm.D. program, providing a streamlined path to both degrees.
